“We’re proud to continue our tradition of elevating the enjoyment of fine American Whiskey. Chef Darin Nesbit and his team will serve specially created hors d’oeuvres to accompany the Small Batch Boutique Bourbon Collection. Few distilleries can boast earning so much critical acclaim than this family-owned company, Kentucky Bourbon Distillers” Dickie Brennan said.

Kentucky Vintage – Fully Mature, Pure Kentucky XO, Rowan’s Creek and Noah’s Mill will be served neat at this event, with the Kentucky Vintage and Pure Kentucky being featured in classic whiskey cocktails as well. Numerous accolades include Double Gold Medals for Kentucky Vintage and Pure Kentucky and Gold Medals for Rowan’s Creek and Noah’s Mill at the prestigious San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Also, a 91 rating from Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible and a 93 rating from Wine Enthusiast Magazine were given to Noah’s Mill and Rowan’s Creek, respectively. Proprietor Even Kulsveen is proving his adage: The disadvantages of being small can still outweigh the advantages of being big.

Bourbon Ambassador and native New Orleanian, Hunter Chavenne will lead the tasting. His wife’s grandfather, Thompson Willett, founded the company in 1936, shortly after Prohibition. Kentucky Bourbon Distillers continues to be operated by the family. “We are a very small family company that has a limited number of barrels. We specialize in unique, handcrafted bourbon. The Small Batch Boutique Collection represents what we believe is the best combination of mature, fully aged Bourbon at a particular strength,” Hunter Chavanne said. Many whiskey tasting terms are strikingly similar to the language used when tasting wine – as many wines are also aged in oak barrels. Just like fine wines, fine whiskeys are meant to be sipped and savored.
