Palace Café's "Flavor of New Orleans"
cuisine is served everyday at this upbeat and lively grand

the nation's oldest family owned retail music chain), which
has served as a New Orleans landmark since the turn of the
century.
A Commander's Palace veteran, Chef Darin Nesbit is the

Palace Café's nationally acclaimed cuisine.
Palace Café's much-anticipated opening in 1991 earned
the restaurant "Best New Restaurant" accolades
from Esquire magazine and USA Today. Since
then, Palace Café has received continued recognition
from the public. In 1997, Palace Café was awarded
the prestigious Ivy award from Restaurants and Institutions
magazine, deeming the restaurant one of the top dining
experiences in the United States. In December of 1997, Palace
Café was featured on the TV Food Network's In
Food Today. Shortly thereafter, the restaurant was highlighted
in the New York Times, as the headlining place to
eat while in New Orleans for Mardi Gras. In April of 1998,
Dickie Brennan and Palace Café were featured on CNN's
On the Menu recognizing the restaurant for "being
consistently voted some of the best food in the city and
in the nation." Cooking Light magazine's July/August
issue highlighted Palace Café and its Lite Lunch
menu.
More recently, Palace Café and Dickie Brennan's
family have been included in articles in Food & Wine,
Southern Living, Nation's Restaurant News, and numerous
local publications. In praise of Palace Café's newly
released cookbook, Palace Café: The Flavor of
New Orleans, the James Beard Foundation invited co-authors
Dickie Brennan, Leslie Brennan and Gus Martin to host a
